Happy New Years and Welcome back!
Hope everyone had a restful and relaxing break. The Preschoolers seem all rested and ready to kick off the second part of the year with a bang!
 
Today with the warmer temperatures outside it was perfect for making snowman! We did A LOT of snow-persons, snow-bear, snow-animal building!

We also got to play with snow INSIDE as well, which was a treat! We added some animals that we thought lived in the snow or colder areas.

VINS: Snakes!!!!

  A REAL snake came to visit the classroom! Hannah, from VINS, visited again last week and brought a garter snake for the kids to see and even touch. We learned about what they eat, where they live, and how they shed their skin as they grow. The highlight of the day was the very funny puppet show and getting to touch the snake. Snake Bingo What do garter snakes eat? Through the puppet show and the Bingo game, the students learned that garter snakes prey on mice, fish, frogs, crayfish, snails, slugs, and more. Snake Skin When snakes grow, they shed their skin. Snake Habitat Game The REAL thing!!
