Science - Ramps

Image
Ramps We've had a fantastic time learning about science by experimenting with our ramps.  Through trial and error, the kids are learning how the length and angle of the ramps changes how fast and far balls and cars go down the ramps and onto the grass.  They have also figured out that the size and weight of the balls and cars affect how fast they go down the ramps, and they've thoroughly enjoyed creating new and different ways to change the way the ramps are set up.  It's been great to see how well the kids work with each other and to listen to their discussions and observations.  They're learning so much without even realizing that they are learning.

Halloween Party!

We had a great Halloween Party! We dressed in our costumes, made Halloween bags, cookies, and bats.  The orange, purple and green playdough was fun too. Alex's mom brought in several special treats for snack (THANKS!) and after our parade around the school, showing off our fantastic costumes, the kids Trick or Treated around the tent.  What fun we had!
