SNOW

Despite only having one big snow storm in December and a few small snow showers throughout January, the snow has remained on the playground.  The kids have enjoyed sledding, shoveling, and occasionally making snowmen when the snow is wet enough.  We're looking forward to another snowstorm and hoping that it will be good snowman and fort building snow.  We may even be able to get some snowshoe or strap on cross country skis out.

We hope that everyone will head outside to play once it gets a little warmer and also snuggle in for some reading and family time.

Southworth Park We've taken advantage of the beautiful weather that we've had over the past couple of Tuesdays and have hiked to Southworth Park for fun and adventures.  Ms. Beth, our outdoor educator, has built a fire with the kids, and we've made popcorn and hot chocolate. The kids have enjoyed digging in the dirt, finding worms, building fairy houses, playing tag and so much more.  It's always enjoyable to read books and eat snack up there too. A few of the second graders even joined us one day.

 Fun in the Outdoor Classroom We continue to have fun and learn in our outdoor classroom. Last Tuesday we read an ABC book with alphabet photographs from nature.
