West Fairlee Town Library

Once a year, Vi, who prepares breakfast and lunch at WES and helps run the town library, invites the preschoolers to walk to the West Fairlee Town Library to check it out.  She reads some books to the kids, feeds them a snack and sets up an art activity for them to do while they're at the library.  For many of the students, it is their first exposure to the town library.  On Wednesday, we headed over for our yearly visit.  We all had a great time!

Southworth Park We've taken advantage of the beautiful weather that we've had over the past couple of Tuesdays and have hiked to Southworth Park for fun and adventures.  Ms. Beth, our outdoor educator, has built a fire with the kids, and we've made popcorn and hot chocolate. The kids have enjoyed digging in the dirt, finding worms, building fairy houses, playing tag and so much more.  It's always enjoyable to read books and eat snack up there too. A few of the second graders even joined us one day.

 Fun in the Outdoor Classroom We continue to have fun and learn in our outdoor classroom. Last Tuesday we read an ABC book with alphabet photographs from nature.
