The Preschool is super lucky this year.  For the first year, we are going to related arts classes (Library, PE, Art and Music).  The kids are getting a glimpse of what it is like to be a "big kid".  The classes are short but more structured than most activities that we do in the classroom.  They look forward to this time every day.

VINS: Snakes!!!!

  A REAL snake came to visit the classroom! Hannah, from VINS, visited again last week and brought a garter snake for the kids to see and even touch. We learned about what they eat, where they live, and how they shed their skin as they grow. The highlight of the day was the very funny puppet show and getting to touch the snake. Snake Bingo What do garter snakes eat? Through the puppet show and the Bingo game, the students learned that garter snakes prey on mice, fish, frogs, crayfish, snails, slugs, and more. Snake Skin When snakes grow, they shed their skin. Snake Habitat Game The REAL thing!!
