Newmont Farm
From what I have heard through the students, Julie and Jill, the field trip to the farm was a lot of fun.  The kids enjoyed meeting the cows, especially the baby cows, and seeing where milk comes from. The pumpkins that the kids are bringing home are also from the Newmont Farm, donated by the Gladstone family.

Southworth Park We've taken advantage of the beautiful weather that we've had over the past couple of Tuesdays and have hiked to Southworth Park for fun and adventures.  Ms. Beth, our outdoor educator, has built a fire with the kids, and we've made popcorn and hot chocolate. The kids have enjoyed digging in the dirt, finding worms, building fairy houses, playing tag and so much more.  It's always enjoyable to read books and eat snack up there too. A few of the second graders even joined us one day.

 Fun in the Outdoor Classroom We continue to have fun and learn in our outdoor classroom. Last Tuesday we read an ABC book with alphabet photographs from nature.
