The Chicks have ARRIVED!

Happy Friday! The preschoolers are sooo excited to welcome some of our baby chickens to the preschool classroom!! yay!! We have been patiently waiting and waiting.... and waiting and waiting..... for the chicks and ducklings to make their appearance! We still have a little more of a wait for the ducks to arrive (probably mid week next week!) but we are being great sports about waiting and being careful with the incubator and the eggs!
This week we have also been playing with our pretend chickens and eggs in our dramatic play area too. The preschoolers love collecting eggs from the chickens and ducks and having them as classroom pets! :)

Please check the blog for updates on chicks that hatch over the weekend!

Checking on the eggs the day before.....

Yay! 2 baby chicks this morning!

Reeve is soo excited to show what the chicks did when we were at home! They cracked and hatched!

On Tuesday Mrs. Nichols set up a fun and exciting obstacle course! The preschoolers had to balance, jump, skip, crawl, and be silly as they completed the course! The students loved completing each part of the course as they went through it!

*Also for Ms. Caitlin's classroom we will be having our new Assistant teacher, Kim Smith start on Monday! We are so excited to get to know her and have her apart of our classroom!
Hope everyone has a great a great weekend! :)
