Fun in the sun... and more

Last week when the cold rainy weather hit, we began, for the first all year, to split our time between inside and outside.  We began a new routine of heading straight into the classroom after arrival to sign in (match, trace or write our names) and play in stations until circle time.  The kids have really enjoyed the new activities and toys that they have been playing with inside.  Despite the very cold weather at the beginning of last week, we have lucked out on an extra week of beautiful warm weather that started mid week last week and has continued through today. That warm weather has allowed us to continue to  eat snack and lunch outside, and we plan to continue spending as much time outside as possible throughout the winter.

CC, CS and LF all enjoyed the inside kitchen area, much more to play with than in the outside "drama area".

KD, GC, and NW all were happy to dig in the sand.

TS and CS also enjoyed the extra sunny days.

AL gives a wave and TS climbs to the top.

AL and KD both enjoyed driving their trucks through the paint

TS and NW made an elaborate train track while CC played in the sand.
