Bird Feeders

We spent the week making our bird feeders, and today we hung them on the branches at Southworth Park.  We're excited to see what critters have come when we check them next week.

We also had special cookies at snack to celebrate Arien's last day at Westshire.  We wish you the best at your new home and school Arien!  We'll all miss you!

Southworth Park We've taken advantage of the beautiful weather that we've had over the past couple of Tuesdays and have hiked to Southworth Park for fun and adventures.  Ms. Beth, our outdoor educator, has built a fire with the kids, and we've made popcorn and hot chocolate. The kids have enjoyed digging in the dirt, finding worms, building fairy houses, playing tag and so much more.  It's always enjoyable to read books and eat snack up there too. A few of the second graders even joined us one day.

 Fun in the Outdoor Classroom We continue to have fun and learn in our outdoor classroom. Last Tuesday we read an ABC book with alphabet photographs from nature. We then looked for and made our own letters out of nature. Check out the letters we made.
