 Thank You for Our Rain Suits!

A very generous donor gave every classroom at Westshire a class set of rain suits for the kids to wear in rainy, wet weather and down by the brook.  What an incredible gift!  As all of you parents know, our preschool takes frequent trips to the brook and plays outside rain or shine.  Your children often come home with a bag of wet clothes from our adventures.  Now, all the kids will have rain suits to wear to the brook or out on our wet playground when it's raining.  Yah!

The suits arrived today with perfect timing for us to try them out on possibly the last warm day of the year for us to play in the water at the brook. What a gift of both rain suits and warm weather.  

We lucked out today!

Southworth Park We've taken advantage of the beautiful weather that we've had over the past couple of Tuesdays and have hiked to Southworth Park for fun and adventures.  Ms. Beth, our outdoor educator, has built a fire with the kids, and we've made popcorn and hot chocolate. The kids have enjoyed digging in the dirt, finding worms, building fairy houses, playing tag and so much more.  It's always enjoyable to read books and eat snack up there too. A few of the second graders even joined us one day.

 Fun in the Outdoor Classroom We continue to have fun and learn in our outdoor classroom. Last Tuesday we read an ABC book with alphabet photographs from nature.
