The Westshire Fair

The preschoolers had an exciting morning at the Westshire Fair today.  We checked out the recycled art projects that students throughout the school made, listened to a group of students from K through 5th grade drumming with the music teacher, and then get to pet two calves that were visiting the school.  After we saw the calves, they all ate donut holes and drank apple cider while we took a hay ride around the school grounds, and another highlight for many of the kids was the maple syrup cotton candy everyone was given.  What an exciting day!

Row, row, row your boat... A good core workout! Southworth Park

Southworth Park We've taken advantage of the beautiful weather that we've had over the past couple of Tuesdays and have hiked to Southworth Park for fun and adventures.  Ms. Beth, our outdoor educator, has built a fire with the kids, and we've made popcorn and hot chocolate. The kids have enjoyed digging in the dirt, finding worms, building fairy houses, playing tag and so much more.  It's always enjoyable to read books and eat snack up there too. A few of the second graders even joined us one day.
