Apples, Apples, and more Apples!

Oops!  Forgot to "hit publish" on this post weeks ago

Nothing like learning about where our food comes from and how it is made.  After reading about apple trees everyone got a chance to help make apple sauce.  We washed, cut, and cooked our apples.






And of course we ate the apple sauce... YUM!

Southworth Park

Southworth Park We've taken advantage of the beautiful weather that we've had over the past couple of Tuesdays and have hiked to Southworth Park for fun and adventures.  Ms. Beth, our outdoor educator, has built a fire with the kids, and we've made popcorn and hot chocolate. The kids have enjoyed digging in the dirt, finding worms, building fairy houses, playing tag and so much more.  It's always enjoyable to read books and eat snack up there too. A few of the second graders even joined us one day.
