Oops!  I just found this unpublished Blog with a collection of Southworth Park pictures from the fall.  It's amazing to see how much the kids have grown in only a few months.

Our days at Southworth Park and, now that it's getting colder, our on site outdoor classroom are filled with story times, activities, fires, gross motor play (climbing, walking to the park, jumping, dragging logs...), working together, imaginative play, problem solving and so much more.  The play that happens when we're outside with only nature and each other to entertain us is magical.



Getting the wiggles out. Spontaneous silliness!

Row, row, row your boat... A good core workout! Southworth Park

Southworth Park We've taken advantage of the beautiful weather that we've had over the past couple of Tuesdays and have hiked to Southworth Park for fun and adventures.  Ms. Beth, our outdoor educator, has built a fire with the kids, and we've made popcorn and hot chocolate. The kids have enjoyed digging in the dirt, finding worms, building fairy houses, playing tag and so much more.  It's always enjoyable to read books and eat snack up there too. A few of the second graders even joined us one day.
